MongoDB's official GUI. The process is MongoDBCompass.exe. It is not DBeaver and not the mongod server.

What you need to know

Compass is MongoDB's official GUI, not DBeaver.

MongoDBCompass.exe is MongoDB's desktop client. DBeaver is a multi-engine GUI. MySQL Workbench and pgAdmin are SQL-engine official clients. The database process is mongod if it is on this PC.

If Compass will not connect, I would paste the same URI into mongosh. I would not repair MySQL Workbench for a Mongo login. Wrong engine, wrong GUI.

What is MongoDB Compass?

MongoDB Compass is the official GUI for MongoDB. It is not DBeaver, not Studio 3T by name, and not the mongod process.

If you have never used it

If you need the official MongoDB GUI, that is Compass. Download it from mongodb.com/try/download/compass. MongoDBCompass.exe browses documents and aggregations. DBeaver can attach to MongoDB with extra setup. It is still a different universal GUI. mongosh is the shell.

Browse collections

Documents and schema samples. SQL GUIs will not look like this tree.

Aggregation pipeline builder

A Compass feature. pgAdmin's query tool is SQL, not this pipeline UI.

Connect to Atlas or local MongoDB

A connection string. DBeaver uses a different driver dialog.

Current status

MongoDB Compass (2016) is a current mongodb gui from MongoDB. The vendor still points Windows users at https://www.mongodb.com/try/download/compass.

How old is it?

MongoDB shipped Compass in 2016 as the official desktop GUI. It is younger than pgAdmin and Workbench. Current Compass follows MongoDB server releases. A 2013 Robomongo guide is a different client.

SRV connection string versus Compass version

Atlas URIs want a current Compass. That is a MongoDB client issue, not a DBeaver JDBC error.

People look for SQL Server style tables

Documents are not rows. SSMS will not make this look like AdventureWorks.

Getting unstuck

Install from mongodb.com/try/download/compass

A Compass pack on a freeware site is junk. MongoDB hosts the real build.

Test the URI in mongosh

If the shell fails, the cluster or IP allowlist is the story. DBeaver will fail too.

Confirm you opened Compass, not the server installer only

The MSI can add the server. Compass is a separate download unless you picked it.

Alternatives

DBeaver if you already live there. mongosh for a shell. Atlas Data Explorer in a browser is not this exe.
