SteelSeries GG hosts devices and Sonar. iCUE will not see a SteelSeries headset. OpenRGB may fight GG on the same device.
If you have never used it
If the headset or mouse says SteelSeries, this is the app for firmware, lighting, and Sonar audio. Download it from steelseries.com/gg. iCUE is Corsair. Engine was the older SteelSeries name.
What is it used for?
SteelSeries mice, keyboards, and headsets. iCUE profiles do not apply.
Chat versus game mix. That is SteelSeries, not Windows sndvol alone.
Uninstall old Engine if GG and Engine both start. Two hosts from one vendor still fight.
Who is it for?
- SteelSeries headset and mouse users
- People who want Sonar
- Desks that also run iCUE for Corsair fans

Getting unstuck
Install from steelseries.com/gg
support.steelseries.com has device lists. Skip "GG full" forums.
Uninstall SteelSeries Engine if both are present
GG replaced Engine. Leftovers cause missing devices.
Quit OpenRGB when a SteelSeries device vanishes
Two RGB hosts, same USB fight as Synapse versus OpenRGB.
Alternatives
iCUE is Corsair. Synapse is Razer. Windows volume is still there if you turn Sonar off.
