Common problems
Old BTSync config
Import or recreate shares in Resilio. Syncthing cannot read those keys.
Peer never appears
Firewall, key type, or a stale link. That is Resilio, not a Syncthing discovery server.
Getting unstuck
Create the share in Resilio and send a Resilio link
A Syncthing ID will not work. That is the sibling-swap test.
Install from resilio.com/individuals
A "BitTorrent Sync" third-party zip is stale malware risk. Syncthing.net is the other project.
Check Home versus Pro if a feature is missing
Resilio gates some options. Syncthing's settings will not enable them.
Alternatives
Syncthing, Dropbox, and GoodSync overlap. Syncthing is the open-source sibling this article is not.
