If you have never used it

Bookmarks and Maxthon services use a Maxthon account, not a Google account.
People keep it from older PCs. It is still not Chrome.
Who is it for?

- Users upgrading an old Maxthon install
- Anyone who saw a Chromium window and assumed Chrome
Current status
Maxthon (2004) is a current web browser from Maxthon International. The vendor still points Windows users at https://www.maxthon.com/.
How old is it?
Maxthon began in 2004 (MyIE2 era) on Trident. Later versions moved to Chromium. It is older than Chrome as a brand and not a 2024 startup. A 2006 Trident screenshot is not today's Maxthon.exe.
