ApplicationCrystal Dew World

Also called crystal disk info, cdi, diskinfo64

Crystal Dew WorldSystem

A SMART health readout from Crystal Dew World. The 64-bit process is DiskInfo64.exe. It is not CrystalDiskMark and a caution status is not always a dying drive.

What you need to know

CrystalDiskInfo is SMART health. CrystalDiskMark is a speed bench.

Crystal Dew World's CrystalDiskInfo shows disk health attributes. Get it from crystalmark.info. A caution tile is not a speed score and it is not always a dying drive. DiskMark64.exe is the other app.

What is it?
A SMART health readout
Same as CrystalDiskMark?
No. Mark is the speed bench
Caution means dead?
No. Back up and read the attribute
Feex says
If CrystalDiskInfo says Caution, I would copy the files off and check the attribute, not run CrystalDiskMark as a health test. A slow bench is not the same as a SMART fail.

What is CrystalDiskInfo?

CrystalDiskInfo reads SMART and NVMe health. DiskInfo64.exe is the usual 64-bit window. CrystalDiskMark is the sibling speed bench with DiskMark64.exe.

If you have never used it

If you want to read SMART attributes, CrystalDiskInfo is hiyohiyo's health window. Download it from crystalmark.info. A Caution or Bad tile is a SMART warning, not a bench score. It is not CrystalDiskMark, which measures speed. It is not a dying-drive verdict by itself.

What is it used for?

Read SMART temperature and reallocated sectors

Those attributes are health clues. They are not sequential-read MB/s from CrystalDiskMark.

Watch a Caution status

Caution means an attribute crossed a threshold. Back up and investigate. It is not automatic proof the drive is dead today.

USB and NVMe bridges

Some enclosures hide SMART. That is a bridge limit, not a missing DiskMark install.

Who is it for?

  • People who heard a click or saw a Windows disk warning
  • Anyone comparing two Crystal Dew apps and picking the wrong exe
  • Technicians who want a freeware SMART window

Current status

CrystalDiskInfo (2008) is a current disk health utility from Crystal Dew World. The vendor still points Windows users at https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskinfo/.

How old is it?

CrystalDiskInfo appeared in 2008, a year after CrystalDiskMark. Both still live at crystalmark.info. It is not a Windows 11 Settings page and not the old manufacturer "drive fitness" DOS tools.

Versions

Major channels first. Exact build numbers are not all verified here.

Standard
Shizuku / Aoi editions
Portable

System requirements

Values follow the publisher's public guidance. Workload still changes the real need.

Minimum

Minimum system requirements
Operating system Windows 10 or Windows 11, per Crystal Dew World's current DiskInfo page
RAM Enough for Windows plus this app. Heavy projects want more.

Resource profile

CPU demand
Low while the window is open
Disk demand
SMART queries. Not a fill-disk bench

Installed processes

These executables belong to this product when it is installed.

Installed processes
DiskInfo64.exe SMART health window
DiskInfoA64.exe Aoi edition on some downloads

Startup components

CrystalDiskInfo can start in the tray to watch temperature. That is an option, not a Windows disk service.

File locations

Common CrystalDiskInfo locations
Typical install C:\Program Files\CrystalDiskInfo\

File formats

Reads SMART. It does not write a bench file the way DiskMark does

Common problems

People run DiskMark when they meant DiskInfo

Speed numbers do not replace SMART. Check the window title. DiskInfo64 is health. DiskMark64 is the bench.

Caution treated as "replace today or else"

Back up first. Then read which attribute failed. A temperature caution is not the same as reallocated-sector growth.

Getting unstuck

Download from crystalmark.info, not a "CrystalDisk Pro" host

The vendor publishes DiskInfo and DiskMark as two products. This page is the health one.

If every USB disk says unknown, try a different enclosure or a SATA dock

Many bridges skip SMART. That is hardware, not a broken CrystalDiskMark install.

Treat Good as "no SMART alarm", not a warranty

SMART can miss some failures. Backups still matter. A high CrystalDiskMark score does not prove health.

Alternatives

Manufacturer tools and HWiNFO also show SMART. CrystalDiskMark is the speed sibling, not a substitute.

Related hardware

This app reads the drive's own SMART counters. It does not add Feex sensors. The drive firmware is the source.
